Blue iraca is the result of a dyeing tradition, as considered as the weaving itself — the leaf cut, prepared, steeped, and worked through a process that the weavers of Colombia's high valleys have never seen any reason to abbreviate. The colour sits somewhere between indigo and sky, and changes depending on where the light finds it.
